Meet Tom Hanks or Dan Rather at the Texas Book Festival

Before Laura Bush was First Lady of the United States, she was a librarian. Despite her foray into politics at the side of her husband, Laura's love for great literature never wavered. In 1995, she teamed up with Mary Margaret Farabee to design the first Texas Book Festival, which debuted the following year. Now, more than two decades later, the festival is still going strong as the largest book festival in the country, connecting readers and authors every autumn.

The Texas Book Festival is coming to Austin on November 4th and 5th at the State Capitol Building, the surrounding grounds, and nearby venues. It boasts a full lineup of events with local authors and high-profile artists, including headliners Tom Hanks and Dan Rather. Check out the schedule to find the meet-and-greet events and panels that you want to be a part of this year at the Texas Book Festival.
