The AutFest Texas: Autism Film Festival and Casino Party is all about celebrating the triumphs of individuals with an autism spectrum disorder. Now in its second year, the fest showcases poignant feature films and documentaries that shed light on autism.
Come to the Alamo Drafthouse on Sunday, November 12th to be part of AutFest, which helps to raise funds for families in Texas who are living with autism every day. The first movie, Temple Grandin, begins at 12:30 p.m. and follows the story of its namesake heroine, a highly regarded advocate for autism—among other things. Swim Team and Autism in Love follow later in the day, a pair of documentaries that weave the narratives of individuals with autism following their dreams and navigating romantic relationships. Stick around for the casino-themed part at 5 p.m., which includes games, food, and drinks.
